Japan Visa for India Citizens

Passport

• Original passport with validity of a minimum of six months and at least two blank pages for visa stamp.
• Photocopy of data and amendment pages of the applicant’s passport.
• Attach all old passports (if any).

Visa Application Form

• One visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant.

Photograph

• One recent passport-size photograph (2 x 2 inches) on white background, matt finish, face occupying 70–80% of the photo.

Please Note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled, and should not have been used in any previous visas.

Covering Letter

Covering letter from the applicant on company letterhead (if self-employed) stating applicant’s name, passport number, purpose of visit, duration of visit, and number of entries applied.

Hotel and Travel Documents

• Hotel vouchers and day-to-day itinerary from a local Japan tour operator.
• Confirmed return ticket copy.

If Company Employee

• Company NOC letter with company seal and signature (see attached NOC letter format).
• Salary slips for last 6 months.

If Self-Employed

• Company memorandum copy / company registration copy / shop establishment copy or any document proving ownership.
• Company bank statement for last 6 months with bank seal and signature.
• Income Tax Returns for last 3 years.

If Minor

• Birth certificate.
• No Objection Certificate from parents/non-accompanying parent on Rs.100 stamp paper.
• ID proof of parent such as passport or PAN card.

If Retired

• Company relieving letter / agreement copy.
• Pensioner bank statement.

If Applicant is Student

NOC from college / school / institute on letterhead with seal and signature of authorized person, along with current student ID card copy.

Financial Documents

• Original personal bank statement for last 6 months, mentioning applicant's name, address, and account number, with bank name, telephone, stamp & signature of authorized signatory.
• Income Tax Returns / Form 16 for last 3 years.
• Supporting financial documents such as fixed deposits, property investments, other investments (optional).

Additional Occupation Documents (If Applicable)

• Doctor – MCC (Medical Council Certificate).
• Lawyer – Bar Council Certificate.
• Chartered Accountant – Certificate of Chartered Accountant.
