Greece Visa for India Citizens

Passport

• Original passport with validity of at least three months from the date of return and two blank pages for visa stamp.
• Photocopies of all valid and previous US, UK, and Schengen visas along with entry and exit stamps.

Please Note:

• Passports issued beyond 10 years will not be accepted by the Embassy.
• Handwritten passports will not be accepted.
• Observation on the passport needs to be checked with The Embassy / VFS prior to submission of the application.
• Attach all your old passports (if any) and the photocopies of all entry and exit stamps and visas.

Photo Specification

• Two recent passport-size coloured photographs with a matt or semi-matt finish.
• Close-up of head and top of shoulders so that the face takes up 70–80% of the photograph.
• White background and without a border (size: 35mm x 40mm).

Please Note: Photographs should not be more than 6 months old, scanned/stapled, and should not be used in any of the previous visas.

Covering Letter

Covering letter from applicant on business letterhead (if self-employed) mentioning name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of visit in brief. The letter should be duly signed by an authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to: The Visa Officer, Embassy of Greece, New Delhi.

If Self-Employed

• Company registration copy/partnership deed copy/shop establishment copy/company memorandum copy etc.

If Company Employee

• Company Leave / NOC letter (see attached NOC letter format).
• Salary slips for last 3 months with company seal and sign.

If Student

• School ID card / College ID card copy.

Airline Reservation

• Ticket copy.

Proof of Accommodation

• Hotel confirmation for the entire period of stay in the Schengen area.

Please Note: Hotel should match the ticket dates and the maximum stay should be in Greece; GTA bookings will not be accepted.

Medical Insurance

• Original medical insurance for the stay duration amounting to 30,000 Euros.

Financial Documents

• Personal ITR for the last 2 years, attested by the CA.
• Original updated bank statement for the last 3 months mentioning applicant’s name and address with bank seal and sign.

Please Note: Internet bank statements will not be accepted. Only bank statements with the name of the bank, branch address, contact number, applicant’s & company’s name, address, and account number are accepted.

Vaccination

• Fully vaccinated certificate copies with updated passport copy.

If the Applicant is Sponsored

• Proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation by completing a national form of the Schengen State concerned (see the website of the Member State of destination).

If the Applicant is Retired

• Pension statements for the last three months.
• Proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business.

Relationship Proof

• If spouse travelling together: spouse name should be endorsed in both the passports, otherwise original marriage certificate required apostilled from MEA.

If the Applicant is a Minor

• If the minor is traveling with only one parent, written consent certified by a public notary of the other parent or guardian, except in cases of a parent having sole custody or guardianship of the minor.
• If the minor travels alone (without parents), written consent certified by a public notary of both parents or guardians having custody or guardianship of the minor.
• Copies of the passport of the parents. If not applicable, the birth certificate of the applicant and copies of the ID cards of the parents.
• If one parent has a valid visa, a consent letter certified by a Public notary is still required from that parent.

The Embassy may, in justified cases, request additional documents.
